So it begins
There are several amazing games coming in the next two months and Pokémon is leading the charge
With the release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, I didn't really have the urge to talk about a game I have some fond memories of or thought was weird from my childhood.
We are in the midst of another busy season of video games and it is a good time to be someone who plays games. The next two months will be filled with some of the most anticipated games that are just now breaking out amid large delays from the pandemic or a development uncertainty that no one really could predict.
The month of February is about to be insane for video games large and small. Also, I just finished reading The Lord of the Rings for the first time so in its honor I have this to say:
From my count, there are 53 noteworthy games being released in the next two months with a small bleed over into April. Some of the biggest notable games are: Pokémon Legends: Arceus (today), Sifu (Feb. 8), Total War: Warhammer III (Feb. 17), Horizon Forbidden West (Feb. 18), Elden Ring (Feb. 25), Triangle Strategy (Mar. 4), Tunic (Mar. 16), Kirby and the Forgotten Land (Mar. 25), Weird West (Mar. 31), and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (Apr. 5).
There is so much to look forward to in this short amount of time, and like I had written about before, this entire year should be incredible.
It wouldn’t be hard to argue that we might be in the best stretch of video games ever. There are a lot of stretches that compete and that have larger marquee titles, but there are several long-awaited titles that are huge and lots of small gems sprinkled in as well.
It is a good time to be excited, I definitely am. I am going to keep this short though and get back to playing Pokémon.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and thanks for reading.
